How to write a thank you note to two separate people
by: Coralie

Thanks for your excellent question about whether to send separate thank you notes to people who have clubbed together to buy you a thoughtful gift.

I do recommend sending separate thank you notes to these relatives who have pooled their money to buy you this gift ... especially as they are elderly. The notes will take you little time to write, but will bring them both a huge amount of pleasure!

I suggest wording similar to the following:

Dear [name]
Thank you so much for the [name of gift].
[name of your fiancee] and I were thrilled to receive this thoughtful gift from you and [name of other donor], which we [explain how you have used / plan to use the gift].
Once again, many thanks.

Finally, I recommend using really good quality writing paper or pretty thank you note cards, to make the best impression!

Thank you for your question!
